Farida Kagalwala is
a proud mother of three very innovative and ingenious children. When asked,
all three of them attributed their success to the time, effort and devotion
that their mother bestowed on them especially during their pre-school years.
Farida believes that early learning should be fun, hands on and child centric
as this sets the tone for higher education. Keeping this simple truth in mind,
she set up her own pre- school in Hyderabad in 2012 to impart enriching
experiences to the young learners.
The school has been started
with the Raza Mubarak of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin(TUS) and His Holiness
gave the name Nau Nehal.
It is often mentioned that the formative age group of 2-5 are the foundation
years of a human being. The experiences during these years contribute to a
strong sub consciousness, which can either foster or deter individual
understands the importance of these critical formative years. The motto of the
school is “Learning is fun” , thus the curriculum implemented at the school
contributes to achieving an inclusive development with emphasis on the
psychological, intellectual, and physical development of the little child. It
is a happy blend of concepts, art, craft, play, exercises, audio-video
stimulation and activities designed to achieve physical and mental dexterity
at the child's own pace.
Farida believes that education, especially at stage has to be all inclusive
and so children with learning difficulties hold a special place at her school.
She has completed the ‘Brain Gym’ course, which helps her to better understand
the needs and difficulties of such children.
Some of the unique features of the school are regular health check up camps,
visits from entertainers like magicians, puppeteers, etc to add that ‘fun ‘
element, special days like science day or poetry recitation. A psychological
analysis camp will be held shortly to understand the psychological needs of
